The firebird ball
London, UK • 2005
Fusing the myth of the Firebird with Romeo and Juliet, The Firebird Ball played out across a vast disused factory site.
With a cast of 14 and a live band, the sell-out production of The Firebird Ball ran for six weeks and received The Observer Review of the Year award for Best Out-of-Theatre Experience.
"A perfect example of physical performance and site interacting to make thrilling theatre."
Dorothy Max Prior, Total Theatre Magazine
" An epic flight of the imagination that weaves around every corner of the crumbling Offley Works, this site specific extravaganza is a breath-taking slow burner that subtly works its way into your blood. It's baffling and exhilarating and the rewards are mesmerising. The images will haunt you for nights beyond."
Keith Watson, Metro London
